How to: Search on Up garage + Shipping parts from Japan

Sick of paying premium for JDM parts locally? Can’t find what your looking for on Yahoo auctions? Or, don’t know how to get that part to your door? It’s all in here!
There is an alternative to Yahoo auctions called Up garage, which is quite easy to use and is based around cars/bikes. I’ve found quite a bit of cool gear on Up garage for both the MX-5 and Stagea, at great prices.

To get started, click this link. It’ll take you to Up garage home page. Underneath the header you’ll notice two big boxes, on the left is the Car category and on the right is the bike category.
Inside those boxes are two smaller boxes, one is for listing an item on Up garage, and the other is for searching. So click on that right box. You will be now taken to a new page (bookmark this page, it skips the first step).

Now you are on the lookout for the search bar, it’s mid page towards the left. Look at the above picture for reference. When entering in your search, the characters must be Japanese! unless you are entering model codes, i.e Mazda MX-5 = NA6CE, NA8CE, NB8C and so on.
You do not need to be precise with searching model codes, for example instead of ECR33, you can just use R33 to broaden the search. Once you are ready to begin the search, click the button on the right of the bar, or hit enter.

A search will come up with many cool parts for your car, but we aren’t done yet! If one of many parts interest you on Up garage, you can click on the listing to get bigger photos, and a description of the goods as shown below.

So your set on getting a certain part for your car, now what you can do is contact either Jesse Streeter (www.jessestreeter.com), or Rod from Tetsuya Garage (www.tetsuyagarage.com) to get a shipping quote. They will organise everything from purchasing off the Up garage vendor, to getting the goods to your door in as little time as possible.
Another handy tip is to use a translator, it makes things a little bit easier and quicker. I use Microsoft Translator when I get stuck. The great thing about Microsoft Translator is that it can translate the whole web-page you want to view.
So there you have it guys and girls, I hope this makes shopping for parts in Japan a little bit easier for everyone.

tambien recomiendo usar a google para convertir los precio ejemplo

1yen to dollars y asi sabes el costo en dolares de la pieza
